substance in semen

by kel102, Oct 09, 2007 01:18AM
When I ejaculate, there are brownish specks in the semen. The flecks do not look like blood and if I rub them into the tissue, they disintegrate pretty easily. This has happened several times now and it takes at least ten days to clear. Whenever the problem is about to come back, I feel almost like my semen is pausing and building up at the head of my penis before comes out, then it comes out with a lot of force which is sometimes almost painful. Once I ejaculated again after experiencing the problem to see if it would clear up and the brown specks were accompanied with blood. Now, sometimes there is blood with these specks and sometimes there isn't. Nothing I've read so far describes everything I'm experiencing. Could there be some sort of blockage or is it a re-occurring infection?

I have a similar problem with the brownish specks.  I had red blood in my semen after some very physical sex.  I'm thinking it's just clotted blood, but don't know for sure.  Pleas let me know if you learn anything about what is causing the brownish specks and if treatment was used/helpful.  Thanks!

You should both see a doctor to rule out any infections.  Sometimes this is normal, but it is often a symptom of a prostate or urethral infection.
