6 weeks and just a sac on the us?

I went in for an us and i thought that i was about 5 weeks pregnant the us said that i was 6 weeks and 1 day.  they didnt see anything but the yolk sac no hb or fetal pole?  my hcg has been increasing and my progesterone levels are great.  currently my hcg level is 74,034.  so should i be worried.  we suffered a blighted ovum in march of this year so we are very nervous.  I have all the pregnancy symptoms.  we go back for another us in one week so i should be 7 weeks per LMP and 8 weeks per last us?

I wasn't sure if you saw this or not, but this was my answer on the earlier post.

It's still a little early for a hb. Sometimes you have one at that point and sometimes you don't. ANd I asked about blighted ovums last week and I think the doctor's office told me that it means you have a gestational sac but nothing else. If you have a yolk sac inside the gestational sac, I think that means everything is ok. I had an u/s at 6 wks and there was barely a little speck above the yolk sac that they said was the baby, but it wasn't nearly big enough to be able to measure the fetal pole. (The fetal pole is just the measure of the baby from head to rump.)

Your hcg numbers are really good, so I wouldn't worry about anything! Congratulations

if your hcg levels are rising, then that's an encouraging sign.  At this stage in the game (6 weeks), hormone levels are more telling that what you may or may not see on an ultrasound.  I'm not sure at what stage you can see fetal pole, but i know it's not unusual to not be able to hear a heartbeat until 7 or sometimes 8 weeks.  So, try and relax...though i know that's easier said than done :)  Hope all goes well and keep us posted.
