RETINAL DETACHMENT

by suebee07, Oct 10, 2007 08:49PM
DURING THE LAST YEAR MY RIGHT EYE HAS BEEN GETTING BLURY, I'M SEEING LIGHTS LIKE TRACING LIGHTS SO I'M WONDERING IS THIS A SIGN THAT MY DETACHMENT IS GETTING WORSE? I HAVE NO INSURANCE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CAN THESE THINGS STAY THE SAME OR WILL I JUST LOSE MY VISION IN THIS EYE?

A retinal detachment is a condition that can lead to blindness and usually get's worse not better.  Not having insurance doesn't mean you can't purchase medical care. You purchase food, housing, clothes, cars etc. Your vision is just as important.

If you are truly indigent every major city has a medical center that treats indigents. Most are affiliated with medical schools and have department of ophthalmology (Eye MDs) that treat all comers.
