Pituitary/Thyroid/Lab Tests

by Erin109, Oct 10, 2007 10:44PM
I am 22 and recently posted my story, i was diagnosed with a pituitary at 15, didn't keep track ecpept for the last 15 months, in which I have had two stimulation tests, the latest showing my TSH being slightly high, and some abnormality in Cort-base, cortisol, what this abnormality is I don't know and am scared to find out. In the last year I have been losing weight and cannot put it back on or keep it where it is, I am constantly tired but I can't sleep. I have been scheduled to have a thyroid panel done i three weeks then I see the doctor. I have always tried to stay as healthy as I can I don't eat sugar or fried foods, I work out everyday, I wouldn't weight anythign if I didn't. I am just wondering if anyone has anything to add or maybe soemthing I could look up. I am lost and don't have a clue what this means whether it means my tumor has become active or not. Any words or hope or wisdom would be great. I know I'm not the only one and my problem is small compared to alot of you guys. Thanks,..........Lost in AL.........

doesn't ths have something to do with your thyroid?

well if it's slighty high it's not that bad right?

and i've lost weight because i had over active thyroid maybe your thyroid's slightly up

If your TSH was up a bit last time - it is a good idea to have the blood panel done again. ALL problems we all face are simply problems - not big or small. Don't worry about thinking you are asking for advice for something small, it's not small.

I do not have any pitutary issues so I can not help here much -
