dermoid cyst removal in 27th wk pregnant, safe ?

by omniyousef, Oct 12, 2007 08:05AM
Good day! i am 41 y.o., working mother,  25 wks pregnant in my 2nd baby and have a Left ovarian dermoid cyst measures 8x6 cm.. I experienced severe pain 3 days ago and talked to my Ob-gyne (Consultant ), he gave me Acetaminophen and Yutopar, and told me that if the pain persist my dermoid cyst must be removed for there is a big possibility for a torsion. He assures me that everything will be alright.  But still i am afraid for my baby's safety. If i will agree for the operation, it will be done on my 27th week of pregnancy , 2 weeks from now (Oct 27, 2007) .  Please i need more medical advise  regarding this problem. Until now i still feel the pain but it is tolerable. Hope to hear from you soonest as possible.  Thank you.
