do not wear socks with elastic tops, it will make it worse. i have been told to lie on my left side since it improves circulation, try to drink 3 or more quarts of water a day and i was given these hose called "teds"  they are very uncomfortable, itchy and hot, but they keep my toes looking like toes and not cheeto puffs.

motherhood maternity may have some good support hose. i'd check there, any other maternity shop or medical supply store. your doctor may also be able to prescribe some like what i have. they go from just above my knee to my toes but not over my toes.

also if you are sitting alot, try putting a foot stool or small box on the ground and resting your feet like that . it will reduce the pressure somewhat.

hope you feel better soon =)
