Burning Scalp and Back

by susieq52, Oct 15, 2007 02:56PM
I have recently been diagnosed with 2 herniated disks at C4 and C5 level.  I am experiencing very strange symptoms which I find unsettling.  All of the information I have read on the net with regard to symptoms indicate pain, but not the burning sensation I'm experiencing on my scalp, neck and back.  I feel as though someone has poured acid on my skin.  Some days are very bad and other days I don't have it at all.  I can't seem to discern why it comes and goes.  Does anyone have any experience with this at all?  I also have cervical spondylosis.  Tomorrow I'm having a MRI of brain.  Thanks for any help/advice you can provide.

i wrote a lengthy post regarding the "burning"... i have cervical spondylosis as well, and the burning sensation by itself can be disabling. It's horrible, but it is only inflammation...can easily be treated w/ a few ibuprofen...take 2x strength fish oil (omega 3's and 6's) by Nature Made...2 or 3x's daily...works quickly...also, fillet an old aloe plant (smash the gel inside the aloe leaf in some apple juice to nuetralize the bitterness) and drink up...this is absolutely the best!!! and will work for up to 3 days with 1 dose...or you drink a few ounces a couple time a day of lilly of the desert aloe gel...do not buy juice,,get aloe vera gel from the health food store. and then get to an accupuncturist...i found excellent results that way, seriously.. i spent over ten years suffering until i came accross these things..they work as good or better than narcotic painkillers and muslerelaxers etc.....and sooooo much better for your health...take my advise and believe me, this is the easiest way and best way....eventhough it sounds crazy, these methods work!!! good luck and hope ya feel better, soon!!
