This might be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which can happen after head trauma. Lots of info on the Internet about it--look it up. Find an ENT or a vestibular therapist who can try the canalith repositioning maneuver (Epley maneuver) on you (if it's indeed BPPV). It's an instant cure 80-90 percent of the time and only takes a few minutes. Sounds too good to be true, but it's standard treatment for BPPV now, and it works. BPPV sometimes recurs, but you can just do the Epley again.

If the problem is not BPPV, an ENT, especially a neuro-otologist (superspecialist ENT type), might be able to help you figure out your dizziness problem.

Good luck!

Nancy
