Shirodkar Suture

On my 11th week of pregnancy I had complications that almost lead to a miscarriage. My gyn then booked me for a Shirodkar Suture and it all went down just fine. No further complications. Now I only have one tiny embarrassing question... Is it safe for my husband and I to have sex now? I am 14 weeks pregnant now.

Didn't your doctor send you home with instructions? Although most doctors tell you to wait a couple of weeks, some doctors will tell you to abstain from sex altogether due to possible contractions brought on by intercourse and orgasms.

To: Anyone who has undergone Srirodkar
I have a lovely daughter of 7 years th' a premature delivery at 31 weeks. With the premature history I had to undergo cervical cerclage which caused me a rupture at 16 weeks on the next pregnancy and with the 3rd pregnancy I misscarried again as I refused to under-go the shirodkar as prescribed by my gyn since I was scared it will be of no use. I hope to conceive again. Please advice me as I have to compulsorily undergo Shirodkar for better results. Is it a painful criteria and will it carry the pregnancy to full-term? Please advice me.
