surgery

I had total thyroidectomy done Aug 28th.  Some difficulties when dr. went in.  nerves were wrapped around thyroid which was little more difficult to take tyroid out.  I have done well though.  I am on 100 of synthyroid a day.  My 3-4 wks after surgery, felt great.  now i usually loose energy afternoons and have notice heart rate is somewhat faster.  I go for my lab work tomorrow to see where levels are now then to dr. next wk.  i am concerned that my incesions looks great but i have this swollen lumpy looking thing in middle.  it hasnt gone down since surgery.  sensitative to touch still.  my voice still sounds strained at times and lucky for some, I cant go back to singing in choir yet.  does all this sound normal and is there anything i should ask dr. next wk.  thank you

yes- it sounds normal. Make sure to ask your doc what you have asked here, also get copies of your labs for a home file.

Your voice will take a while longer for singing but before you know it you'll be singing " in the garden" again!
