Genital Herpes Question

The blisters that would form on my penis, if I had genital herpes, I have a few questions.
Would then in anyway, look like an acne pimple?
Would they be painful if I touch them?
How large, and raised up will they be?
And when Herpes goes dorminit (between outbreaks), will there be any trace of it at all?
I seem to have a some not very raised white pimples on the base of my penis, aroudn the area is very light pink, the area always seems to stay this same color, or go to a bright red if I itch it.
When I push down, through my boxers, on the area, i feel no pain what so ever.
They don't seem to really go away, some times, I do get red pimples in the area, that do go away very shortly.
Does this all seem just like a common Acne Probably?
Or something more?

That in the area, I do have pubic hair, and a number of it, so could this also have something to do with the pubic hair?
