DNC and Ovulation

by SEP24325, Oct 18, 2007 03:27PM
I had a D&C on Oct. 11th.  I was 7 1/2 weeks pregnant with a 6 1/2 week growth ... there was a gestational sac, fetal growth, but no yolk sac or heartbeat.  The miscarriage was only diagnosed with vaginal ultrasound as I never had any bleeding or pain.  Anyway ... now I want to know when the optimal chance of getting pregnant is ... as I am 44 and have no time to waist!  When will I ovulate again?

PLEASE ADVISE

As soon as the Hcg is back to normal range, you will o. I was 12wks and it took about 12days for my Hcg to level off and I o'd about 5 days later.

If you buy some $tree hpts, you can test every couple of days until it's negative then switch to opks to see when you o again. You will o b4 af shows up. It's different for everyone as to when it will happen. Drs like you to wait until after 1st af so they can accurately date the pg, but many don't wait and everything went just fine. I am sorry for your loss.

I ovulated 2 weeks after my miscarriage.  I had the same as you, it's called a missed miscarriage.  I was supposed to be 8 weeks and the baby died at 6wk.  I am sorry you had to go through that.  I am now PG again, 22wks.  Best Wishes to you!!!!
