solid nodular density

by splemons, Oct 19, 2007 11:49AM
My mother just got the results of her spot compression study and is scheduled for biopsy spot compression view says there is a persistent nodular density noted.  The presence of a mass cannot be excluded. further evaluation with surgical consultation is advised. On the ultrasound it says there are two solid nodules noted involving left breast at the 11oclock position one measures 7.6mmx2.4cmx4.8mm a second one is noted measuring 3.8mmx2.7mmx4.0mm. It says this is of undeterminate etiology. I am really scared because these things are solid I have always heard solid means cancer please help me.

Not always.  My "solid" was scar tissue from previous surgery.
