Large exostosis on my skull

by toco, Oct 19, 2007 07:33PM
I have a large lump on my skull.  I have had it about thirty years and the past two years it has gotten bigger.  I have been on Boniva and believe this is what made it grow.  I went to a dermatologist and she sent me to a plastic surgeon thinking it was a cyst.  The plastic surgeon sent me for x-rays and it was determined to be a benign bony exostosis.  My question, is if I wanted this removed, what type of a procedure would it be.

It does not bother me or hurt me but I am aware that it is there all the time.  Thank you for your input.
