Post-treatment healing regimines

by miked, Oct 20, 2007 06:43AM
Are there legitimate regimines to help the body heal after experiencing this treatment?

Just stopping an experimental tx (prove 3) and without the approval of my doctor I would be very hesitant to go herbal at this time. If my 3 or 6 month PCR is UND I'll start on Maximum. Milk Thistle again and probably take it for life.

Are there foods, exercises, etc. and rationale behind them?

I know that I'll resume daily running again, hopefully soon.

Keep the weight down = fewer diabetic/metabolic syndrome problems, less steatosis, less stress and strain on creaky joints. For me this means regular exercise and a 'chef salad' (low carb lots of leafy greens and lean protein) diet. I also take CoQ10 and don't drink, but I think keeping the weight down is the most important.

I started taking gingko biloba for memory loss. I'm sure you will resume your daily running again. You sound like a young man. I am 65 and just finished tx 5 1/2 weeks ago. I'm doing well. Still have a little brain fog. I do need to exercise more. I appreciate desrt's comment about losing weight. I lost 17 lbs. on tx and gained back 3. I just want to stay this weight. I'm trying to avoid Baskin Robbins (lol).

desrt is spot on about the weight. I'm mid-normal BMI - but ned to get to low normal.
