Scrotum Herpes risk

by MikeDavids, Oct 21, 2007 11:32AM
I went to vist an escort and received protected oral and a massage. My concern is that when giving me protected oral she was licking and sucking on my scrotum. I observed that there were no sores present on her lips. But of course I could not see in her mouth. She said she was disease free before we started the session.

What is my risk of herpes on my scrotum. I am married with kids, made a mistake and now have a lot of anxiety about potentially catching something. It has been less than a day since the encounter so there are no symptoms present. I have never had genital herpes but do have HPV.

I appreciate your sound advice and was happy to make a donation.

Thanks, Mike

"...Protected oral and a massage" = no measurable STD risk for any STD.  There is a theoretical risk of herpes due to HSV-1 from the scrotum contact, but that risk is extremely low for any single expsosure.  As long as you don't develop obvious blisters or open sores in the spots her mouth touched, you can be confident you weren't infected.  In the absese of such symptoms, you don't need testing.

It has been 5 days now and I have one other questions. I received a vasectomy a month ago and there was a little scab/scarring left on my testicles. Do I have any chance of acquiring HIV if the scab rubbed off and there was an open spot?
