Chances of catching STDs from toilet water?

by loopy_liz, Oct 22, 2007 06:11AM
Hi
I'm seven weeks pregnant and I've just been reading about the damage that syphilis and other STDs can cause to unborn babies.
I recently had the unsavoury experience of having toilet water splash up between my legs whilst I was using the lavatory.
I would like to know what the risks are of contracting a Sexually Transmitted Disease this way, or any other disease for this matter.

You have better chane of hitting the Lottery....  No risk from the toilet water..  Not trying to sound smart but a sexual act is required to catch an STD.   No risk and worries from this particular incident.

Take Care...
