West Nile Virus

by moshi8, Oct 22, 2007 09:04AM
After three days of severe flu like symptoms and a massive stiff neck, my doctor tested me for West Nile. A week later, the results came back and I had tested positive.

This was four weeks ago.

For the most part the only symptoms I still have is a stiff neck and extreme fatigue. I went to a chirpractor last week just to see if that would assist any. It did! A lot of the pressure that was building up in my neck was released but my neck was tender a few hours later. The next day I got a massage by my regular massage who mentioned that my neck felt "mooshy" and we both noticed that I was tender in few of the normal glandular areas. The next day I went back to the chiropractor, got my adjustment and I mentioned that I thought my glads were swollen. He DC said he felt that as well.

Long story short, here is my question: am I doing more harm than good by going to a chiropractor and having my neck massaged when the pain is caused by swollen lymph nodes?

I seem to have had a slight set back in the neck pain area but then again, I have been having on and off days during this entire virus

thank you
