Sensation of left-right reversal

by Melissa118, Oct 22, 2007 10:01PM
I am a 24 year old female, healthy except for well-controlled mild intermittent asthma.  My only meds are OCPs, flovent, and albuterol prn.  Recently, I have had pretty intense headaches unlike anything I've ever experienced before, and with a few of these headaches I have noticed pins and needles or numbness in my arms or legs.  But here is the really bizzare part: I keep having this intermittent sensation that my right and left sides are reversed.  When this sensation is present, it often lasts for hours and makes it difficult to write, eat, type, drive, etc. and I usually end up feeling dizzy as a result of everything feeling backwards.  Have you ever heard of anything like this? Could it be stress or anxiety, or perhaps atypical migraine presentation? I'm not sure if I should go to my PCP for this or what I should do.
