I'm no expert, but I've heard that flashes in your eye can be a sign of retinal detachment, which needs immediate attention. Of course, the flashes could be due to something much less serious, but the eye doctor needs to sort it out.
Be sure to tell your ENT tomorrow about the flashes, but if he shrugs his shoulders and doesn't refer you to an eye doctor, call an ophthalmologist the same day!
