Pectoral & Trycep Atrophy from Pinched nerve

by danny72, Oct 24, 2007 12:24AM
I have a herniation in my lower neck causing a pinched nerve. Soon after the injury, my left pectoral and trycep muscle atrophied. I work out regularly, and notice sever weekness on that side, There is no pain, but would like to haver it corrected. Any Ideas?

I forgot to mention this injury happend aproximatly 1 year ago. I have been doing traction theropy, adjustments, electric stymulation, and deep tissue massage 3 times a week for 5 months and it didnt work.
There was severe pain down the back of my left arm for the first 2-3 months. also the tip of my left index finger was numb for the first 8 months, but seems to be normal lately. But the pain is gone now.

Also, i spoke to a nerosergon, and my emg reported that it was in fact a pinched nerve. He said that he could cut out the herniation, and that should relieve the pinched nerve. He would have to cut out a piece of bone in order to trim off the herniation. I am wondering of there is something less invasive.
Please advise.
