HCG Levels

I took two home pregnancy tests and they came back positive.  I got a blood test taken at my doctors office and that too came back positive, but the HCG level was 67.  They asked me to come in to take another blood test because the HCG was low and they said it should double by tomorrow.  This past September 22nd was the last time I got my period.  Do you think the low number is because I have just recently gotten pregnant or should I be concerned about an ectopic pregnancy.  I did spot a tiny bit yesterday, but haven't anymore.  The doctor said that spotting isn't anything to worry about unless I have pain or cramping in my abdominal region which I don't.

Thank you so much for that.  I have been a nervous wreck.  I am so excited to be pregnant!!!!  I got the second blood test taken today and have to wait until tomorrow.  I really appreciate you responding!  I feel so much better now!!!!!

Thanks so much.  I saw that chart as well and it made me feel better too.  I guess I just got so nervous when the doctor said that we need to make sure the pregnancy is progressing in the right direction.  I never gave any thought that it wouldn't!!!  I will let you know tomorrow as soon as I find out.  Thanks again!

HPT = Home Pregnancy Test
BFP = Big Fat Positive!
BFN = Big Fat Negative
DH = Darling Husband
DD = Darling Daughter
DS = Darling Son
TTC = Trying to Conceive

That's all I can think of for now!!!

HPT is home pregnancy test and BFP is big fat positive. Your hCG level looks good to me.

Thanks for those!!!!I had no idea what you were talking about.  I used Fact Plus (the one that comes with 2 tests)!

I have another question for you.  Should I be going to CVS or Vitamin World to get prenatal vitamins or should the doctor be giving these to me.  I was going to go today and pick some up, but I wasn't sure if there was some name in particular that I should be looking for.  My sister said that the doctor should give you the prenatal vitamins and my husband said that we need to get them ourselves.  I am so grateful to have found this website.  I have so many questions and don't want to seem like an idiot.  Thanks for your help!

i used the generic store brand when i was preg with my son...

i think cvs would be fine...i think (trying to remember 4 years ago) that i used walgreen's brand

i think this a great number, i had my blood test today, and thney told me that the numbers are gonna be so low,because i had my period on 21 too, well i am not excpecting more than that, i am gonna do it dough because the doctor will do every thing again. i did the test in a lab, with no prescription!

Just wanted to let you know that the doctor called and my HCG levels doubled and she said that everything looks good.  She said that I am about 4 weeks pregnant!  I am so excited.  Thanks for the comments yesterday.  You all got me through a long day of waiting!!!!!
