neurologist resources?

by surfergrrl, Oct 24, 2007 02:29PM
wondering if anyone knows of a listing of neurologists who are freindly to those of us who do not wish to continue with or even start, the ABC drugs.
A neurologist who is accommodating to alternative and complementary medicine, such as diet, specific tests, etc. would be great!

know of such a list?

I am sorry to say I know of no such list. Good luck in your search. I have a hard enough time finding a good traditional neuro LOL.

thank you for your response. RATS!  unless we can pay out of pocket for non-mainstream doctors, we are stuck.

hang in there!

There is an MS forum that I have browsed through in the past.  It is very receptive to all the alternative "treatments" of MS.  I think you would get a great deal of info there.  The site title is "This is MS" and I think their URL is:

thisisms.com

Good luck.  Quix

The Rocky Mountain MS Center has a website for CAM (complementary & alternative med).

Didn't look too much at the details, but maybe this can be of some help.  It says there's a fee to join, but I believed I signed up a few months ago for free??

I am a big proponent of the Swank diet. They have a list of neuros on their site who are "Swank-friendly".  Many people on the diet decide not to do the drugs. These docs "should" be more open to that than some of the others you've run into.

Here is the link: http://swankmsdiet.org/index.php/diet/doctors/

Hope this helps!
