I have had an eating disorder since I was 14. It started out as anorexia and by the age of 16 turned into bulimia. I am 23 now and I am still battling it every day. I have been in treatment for it inpatient and outpatient. I need help with ways that I can beat this horrible disorder. I have lost alot of hair and I have alot of cavities now. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heather, the only thing you can do is find the right treatment..you are  motivated, so look hard for the right doctor to treat you....and learn all you can about the emotions of eating.

Heather....Im so sorry.   I suffered so much of my life with eating disorders. I also suffered from Anorexia and Bulimia.  Im sure you know this but E.D.'s are all about emotions and covering up our feelings. The bulimia gives you a false sence of relief when you purge and not eating gives you a feeling of control. Please don't give up on finding the right Dr. for treatment.  It can be so discouraging but keep looking until you find help. You will always have your eating disorder but IT CAN become managable.

My best and good luck!
Dana
