Underarm pain

by llm46, Oct 24, 2007 09:20PM
About a week ago I started having what feels like muscle pain in my underarm. I move my arm a particular way and I can feel it. There are no lumps just that muscle feels like it is sore when I move it. I have read on other sites that sometimes this is a symptoms of peri but not sure. I am in early menopause according to my FSH levels taken a couple of weeks ago.  Has anyone else ever had this. I also read about something called "mouse arm" caused by using my mouse on the computer.  Any information will be appreciated.

Pain under the arm can be due to many things. Some causes include a pulled muscle, a lymph gland or a swelling in the breast. The tail of the breast trails off under the armpit and sometimes can be swollen. This type of pain isn't specifically a symptom of menopause, but hormonal irregularities could be causing discomfort there. If the symptom continues, see your doctor for an exam just to be sure there isn't a problem.
