Gential warts

Hi,
My boyfriend thinks he may have genital warts. The bump or bumps (there aren't many) are microscopic. The doctor used a microscopic lens to examine the area and he said they could resemble warts, but he didn't say for sure. I finished all three gardasil shots about three months ago. If he does have warts, am I most likely protected because I have the vaccine? I think I may have high risk hpv, but have never had warts before.
