White blood cells in urine repeatedly

by midnightdora, Oct 25, 2007 08:50AM
My 5 year old daughter has been suffering from white blood cells in her urine on and off now for about 3 years.  She keeps being given cefalexin and has been under the hospital then discharged again. Since then the white blood cells have returned again.  The doctors have once more referred the sample for further checks.  Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening?  Is there anything else the hospital should be looking for other than an infection?  I am really worried as this keeps happening and she keeps being put on cefalexin.  Please help as I am a very worried mother!
