Prssure and lower back pain (re-posted with more info)

by willowstone1, Oct 25, 2007 07:54PM
I had a level 3 fusion with a cage of L4-L5-S1 in May 2007. I now have a great deal of pressure in my lower back (it like a foot is inplanted in my lower back now). My legs hurt went I walk, I now get this sharp pain in my butt cheeks. When the weather changes I want to just die.. I hurt so bad.... Anyone having the same problem or any input to how long this will last.... I'm so tried of the people I work with saying you should be better now.... and my spouse thinking I can cook and clean and run a mile..................

I know this will sound funny but, the surgery was Great! I no longer have blue/cold toes. It was heaven to feel my toes and feet again.... I just wish I could find someone who understands my pain NOW!!!!(post surgery)

I completely understand I have had three back surgeries the first was after a car accident L5 S1 fusion, then removal of the hardware due to continuos pain, to return and have another fusion to find out a screw had broken off in my back when the previous hardware was removed and the doctor left it in my back. Today I lay in my bed in sever pain not wanting to move my body.

I have sharp, shooting, burning pains in my low back, butt, vagina, and left leg and foot. my three little toes on my left foot feel numb and tinglly. I feel like there is presure on my tail bone. I am in pain sitting, standing, and laying down. I want to walk bent over to ease the pain. I sit with ease so I doesn't hurt as bad. it is very overwhelming and stressfull. I just want the pain to go away. I take aleve for pain but it doesn't help. Sometimes I wish I could just disconnect the lower half of my body from the waist down.

I am sceduled to get yet another MRI tomarrow. And return to see the nuro Dr. next wk. I am tired of drs. and surgery. I might just have to learn how to live with the pain.
