Can Gerd/Heartburn cause weight gain?

by lcero, Oct 25, 2007 09:04PM
First off this I want to clear that I am a professional and study many aspects of energy and deficits. Basically I am not trying to "point the finger" more so figure it out from a different angle.

My question is this...

When you have a GERD or Heartburn reaction (strong enough to the degree of throwing up spittle, severe bloating and shortness of breath) could this release hormones that lead to fat storeage even in a deficit? Is this a possibility?
