Indeterminate Results

by shee1, Oct 25, 2007 11:42PM
Hi everyone...I have a question

I have taken 9 hpt and 6 have come up positive (three with faint lines, and 3 digitals).  I would have conceived on the 8th, and was supposed to have started my period on the 22nd.  I went to Planned Parenthood (I don't have a obgyn yet) for the blood test on the 22nd and finally got an indeterminate result back today.  I have to wait until the 29th for the nurse practitioner to look at the results and to call the lab before I can find out any more information.  The blood test was done 14 days after conception shouldn't that have come back positive by that point?  By the 29th I will be a week late, should I take another blood test?  I'll be 42 in about 3 weeks and we've been trying so hard to conceive for almost 2 years that this has me really worried.  Please Help if you can.

By 14 days after conception, you should have a positive blood test, especially since your hpts have come back positive.  I'm not sure what you mean by an indeterminate result.  Is that like inconclusive?  I would call an ob/gyn to have a blood test done. You can usually have the results back the same day.

congrats hon.. sounds like good things are headed your way!!
