Can you get a copy of your herpes blood test results and post the numeric results here for me to look at for you? I just want to make sure that you were properly tested for herpes and indeed that you even have genital herpes. I'm guessing you aren't in the US so the testing you had done might not be adequate enough at this point.
Taking medication twice a day for your genital herpes is known as daily suppressive therapy. It's not a cure - it's a treatment. I encourage you to read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com to learn more about your genital herpes, how to protect a partner and what the different treatments do/mean. Suppressive therapy won't completely stop your recurrences but it will reduce them significantly.
Genital herpes should never stand in the way of getting married!! You can greatly reduce the chances of transmitting the virus to a partner with minimal precautions. Even the worst case scenerio of you transmit the virus to your partner doesn't mean that you can't have a family and be completely "normal".
