head muscle pull?

so i was playing basketball today, and when i reached for the ball, i felt a pull on the back of my head. this has happened to me before, sometimes when i try and reach far really quickly during sports, a "muscle" connected to the back of my head and one eye feels like it is getting pulled back. the pain lasted for a minute or so, but it was extremely painful. what could this be? and is it anything to be concerned about?
