pain during urination

i have had pain during urination for several days now. cranberry juice has seemed to relieve much of the pain. the pain is very concentrated on the tip of the penis as if a certain spot was irritated. inside i can see a little area that seems to be irritated. i was curious if this is consistant with any stds or if it is just irritated skin. there is no discharge,fever, aching or pains, and no rash or sores at all. i have had a girlfriend with whjo i hav been sexually active with for six months now. could this be an std? also when i went to the doctor they said that it was not an infection and urine was sent out for an analysis.
