Broken blood vessel in eye?

by mvpmets00, Oct 27, 2007 02:14PM
I didnt notice it till yesterday when someone said my eye was really red. I'm a contact wearer but i never had anything like this before, and its only on one eye. I vomited for about 3 hours Sunday, but didn't notice this till Friday so I'm not sure if the vomiting caused it. It looks like i have a red spot right above the Iris of my eye almost touching it, i have no pain or discomfort but scared to wear my contacts.

Any thoughts? I don't have health insurance either, im a college student so any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

If there is any pain, reduced vision, pus like discharge you need to leave your contact lens out and see an Eye MD or whoever fit your CTL.

If your vision is fine and there is no pain and the spot is bright red its likely your vomiting caused a harmless broken blood vessel.

A common cause of vomiting in college students is alcohol abuse. Hope this is not the case.
