Question ?

by child24angel, Oct 28, 2007 08:22AM
As some of you are aware...my son is on 1/2 for maintenance.
His blood work continues to decline a little more as of last Thursday.
RBC from 9/11/07  4.29 to 3.61
WBC from 4.2 to 3.8
Platelet 97 to 53
Alt 190
AST 441
ANC 1.17......
I know all of the above can flucuate.
My question is.....
His bilirubin 9/11/07  4.0 and holding,  the albumin was 2.9 now 2.6
I know with the Bilirubin going up and the Albumin going down.. is not good
which could be why he is sick most of the time.......
Can his Bilirubin and Albumin flucuate as well ?? I had made a list
of questions, and I still forgot to ask this question !
On a 1/2 peg....can they go back to normal?
Nick is on cimidine,(sp)  propanolol, lactulose
Thank you in advance

Hugs to all
Elaine

Albumin can fluctuate and has some influence on nutrition (protein) as well... I can tell you from Amanda's experience last year her numbers were declining as well and she started a strict supplement plan (I know many don't agree)...but her platelets also declined to about 60 and went above 100 after being on supplements for 2-3 months or so...I am sending you her supplement plan...Please keep me posted and know we are praying for Nick.. Can't help you in your questions, just want to let you know you and Nick are in my thoughts.
I think of your son much when I am in a whining mood and need to buck up! Or when one of my 3 po's me :}
A Sunday prayer for you both.
Hope things get better for him.

That would be good if the supplement plan works that Jody mentioned. I hope there are others who will also be able to offer advice or opinions Elaine. I hope Nick feels better real soon.

You're both in my heart and prayers,
MO

Probably a good thing for Nick Arwen has a new home.

Two birds are tough.  And now Wanda can be the family bird.  bet she loves that.
