This patient support community is for discussions relating to breast cancer, biopsy, genetics, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, lumps, lumpectomy, lymph node dissection, lymphedema, mammograms, mastectomy, radiation therapy, reconstruction, and self exams.
These lesions suggest abnormal localised areas that need to be investigated further. As your breasts are dense a mamogram would not pick up much information. Discuss with your doctor and see if an MRI can be scheduled. A MRI is also more sensitive. In all cases of suspicious lesions a biopsy should be taken to rule out a malignancy. Also a definite diagnosis is always better than to remain in doubt. Continue with your regular breast self exams and schedule a clinical evaluation with a physician every 6 months. Goodluck.
