It has only been 4 weeks, but I know the type of panic you must be feeling. There are different type of nerve injuries that are incurred as a result of surgery. Nerve degrees 1 and 2 are just the myelin partially and fully damaged, and 3 and 4 are partial and full axon damage. Depending on the type of injury, the longer the healing process. A nerve usually regenerates a mm a day, if capable. There is no sure way to say. I had brain surgery, and I woke up with half of my face numb, they told me give it a few months. It's been three years, and I have no feeling and a chronic pain condition. I was extremely frustrated with them, how could they now know. But everyone heals differently. It might take a couple months, It's a very frustrating and long process, just make sure you take care of yourself during this recovery process. No one will really be able to give you an answer, and honestly that's the worst answer to receive I know, I've got it for 3 years. Let me know if you have any more questions, did this help?
