Ive been told my daughter has to been on antibiotics for the rest of her life. She has gone through 3 treatments with a pick line since Feb...and then relaspes back into the sickness. This was caused by intervious use, and she has hepitis C. Is there any thing i can do to help her. She is only 21.
and another question concerning a family member whom is on the drug  called methodone. What happens when they drink. Does it cancell out there meadone and is that why they are getting sick all of the time or could they actualy be sick and them methadone is masking what is actually occuring, because i can see a great differnce in behavior, sleeping patterns and depression. Thankyou doctor i would appriceate some answers as i am worn out from taking care of these people and would like a vacation to tell you the the truth....

You really deserve a vacation, you're a saint.

I'm sorry your daughter has been told she needs antibiotics for the rest of her life.  Osteomyelitis is a bacterial infection of the bone and often requires very long term intraveneous antibiotics.  Unfortunately, it's a possible consequence of using intravenous drugs, as is Hep C.  There's not much you can do for her with respect to these diseases.

For your family member who's on methadone, it's a long acting narcotic pain reliever.  They can't drink alcohol, that would certainly make them sick.  Alcohol is a depressant and also causes early wakening disturbing sleep which causes tiredness affecting one's behavior.

Go take a vacation!
