Hi this is loiloi. It is great to see someone giving advice on natural products, I only know about traditional medicines and beauty care. Also unfortunately i have very sensitive skin and severe allergies so cannot use the lavender and tea tree oil you recommend. I appreciate many people on this site are from the USA where you have to pay for health insurance so it would certainly be worth trying natural or homemade remedies. In the UK we see our doctors and dermatologists for free, a prescription for antibiotics or a months worth of accutane costs £6.50 ($13) and contraceptive pills are free. I would like to ask you about my friend who is 33 and is losing her hair. She has not taken accutane, it is partly because she is going through a stressful time and also hormonal as she had a hysterectomy. She is taking the SSRI Cetamaprol for depression and anxiety and beta blockers for high blood pressure. What would you recommend for her hair loss which is not contra-indicated with her current medicine? Thanks, Loiloi x

If her medicine is not the cause of her thinning hair, then you should have her try Nioxin.  Not sure about how available it is outside of the US, but what she needs to try first is to have an amazingly clean scalp to allow the best possible environment to allow the hair to grow.  To see if the product is available near you or which specific product she needs use the following website...  http://www.nioxin.com/go/en/assess-my-needs/
