Weird Anxiety Symptom?

by ManicPanic247, Oct 29, 2007 10:35AM
I recently got Anxiety after a bad panic attack from an SSRI i was taking. It was really bad at first but now it's managable for me, but my physical symptoms seem to change from time to time. Like now, almost 2 months later, i can't lay on my stomache. Even mild pressure like my husband laying his head on me makes me feel very nauseaous and my shortness of breath gets worse. Is it the Anxiety making me feel like that?

My guess would be that the SSRI you are using causes more anxiety and you are more anxious about a previous problem with stomach. I was on zoloft for a couple of years for anxiety/depression. It increased my anxiety symptoms initially terribly.  Then became a more managable level, but now I'm off, I'm convinced that is not the SSRI for me if I ever have to go on one again.  Wouldn't hurt to have a doctor look into it though.  When I was first diagnosed w/panic/anxiety, I thought I had heart problem and knew that I had congenital heart problems in my family,  so went to a heart specialist and he told me I had a murmer which I already knew and that my aorta was unusually close to my frontal chest. which would explain why i could feel my heart beat so much better and why it bothered me when pressure was applied there especially when i was pregnant. the work up also found lumps on my breast (which later dx as benign) and a growth on my gallbladder! So there are reasons we feel certain ways, the key is not to stress over them, just get them checked out!
