Urethral Problem, Awful creepy crawly feeling AFTER voiding that last for hours

by hulagal, Dec 27, 2006 12:00AM
My urinary tract and urethra is swollen due to drinking too much cranberry and low estrogen.  Further, GB Strep has made the tissue more swollen.  I am colonized with this bacteria and  antibiotics have not relieved the swelling

After I void, I get AWFUL creepy, crawly sensations that last hours.

I've tried urethral suppositories with litocaine.

I am going to try a pudental nerve block and I am considering urinary diversion.

Any suggestions.  I am desperate!!!!!

I can relate. I had urethral cancer 2 years ago and had similar creepy feeling as you describe.I had a constant burning and itching very high in the vagina worse than any kind of yeast infection I had ever experienced in my life. I had to tilt from side to side to empty my bladder and had a constant feeling of needing to void even right after I had urinated.

Have they ruled out urethral cancer? Mine took several frustrating months to find and much misery for me.

I had problems with impacted barthalen glands etc.

I had radical surgery and have a permanent urostomy.

I do not feel really good ever and I am just glad that I am still here. I was a stage T3. My tumor in my urethra was the size

of a walnut when finally diagnosed. This was a very painful and long recovery. I had chemo and radiation  after my surgery.

Radiation to the genitalia is very painful but you can get through it.

Best of luck to you,

Please email me back.
