Numerous Allergies

by Sunshine31A, Nov 04, 2007 08:26PM
My daughter is 5 months old. She was born a 38 wks 5 days gestation. Starting at 4 months she was diagnosed with a potential latex sensativity. She had a reaction to the latex gloves the nurse used. When she had her 4 month shots she broke out in hives. Prior to her 4 month appointment she had broken out in hives a few times. After her 4 month appointment she broke out in hives every few days. or so. She is on benadryl to control the hives. She had weezing one time she had hives. There is no pattern to when she breakes out in hives. We were refered to a pediatric allergist who did skin testing. This came back as an allergy to milk, egg and latex. She was also identified as being dermatographic. She was then switched to soy formula. Due to the fact that I am breast feeding I was also taken off milk and egg. On the soy formula she began to vomit. She was then swithced to EleCare. She still breaks out in hives. She just had a cyst removed from her head, in the scalp area. While at that surgery they detected a heart murmur. My questions are what could all of this be? What could she be allergic to? We have taken her off milk, soy and egg. And I am not eating them either. Yet she still breaks out in hives all of the time. Could the heart murmur be related?
