Pain after C section

by Mme. Frenchie, Nov 05, 2007 05:57PM
Hi,
I gave birth by C section to my sweet baby girl on October 5, her name is Leia Marie - it's been a month now and starting a few days ago I got some pain in my stomach. It feels like I am really bloated and it hurts if I cough or when I sit. It feels like I need to pass some serious gas but there really isn't anything. I am going to see the doc but I thought I would ask you ladies if you had experience like that.

thank you for your help

Congratulations on the birth of Leia Marie

I had a section 10 months ago, I'm still sore in the scar area somedays if I've been carrying the kids alot or gardening, bending, stretching and such. As you are only a month since your section it is normal for it still to be sore somedays. Hope your doc say's everything is okay.

I agree with mum. After my C-section I was in a lot of pain for quite awhile. My Dr. says he see's women still in pain several months afterward. And it's pretty normal to have that gassy feeling. But I would keep your appointment with your Dr. if the pain has all of a sudden come up. But even so, it still seems pretty normal to me. (but I'm not a Dr.)
Good luck and congrats on your little one! I love her name!
