lump on arm

by becky15, Nov 08, 2007 04:54PM
I found a lump on my child's arm. They did blood work on him and his blood work was perfect. They did an x-ray and an ultrasound and still don't know what it is. What are the chances that it could be nothing.

Hi Becky,
You have described a "lump" on your childs arm. This could actually be due to many reasons - most of them benign conditions.
Without further history and examination findings, it is impossible to give an accurate probablity of the lump being "nothing".
Your doctor will probably order more tests to determine the cause of the lump.

Bobby1973 is right, more tests are necessary, but most are normal bumps.  Make sure you follow up to get reassured by your own physician
