Epididymitis

I received oral sex from a hooker and within less than a week I deleveloped epididymitis in one of my testicles.  It's painful.  No discharge from my penis or burning during urination however.  I saw my physician, didn't mention the hooker, and he confirmed epididymitis diagnosis and prescribed Bactrim DS.

Is it just a coincidence I developed epididymitis or is it likely a STD (chlamydia / gonorrhea / other)?

hi i have much experience with epydydimitis i had it in 2006 it hurt i couldnt even sit up too long.i had no stds after tested.mine was chronic epydydimitis which kept coming back.trauma to the area can cause epidydimitis also.i had surgery called an epidydiectomy in which they removed it from my testicle.i am 100 percent better now
i recomend this surgery if this persists.

Yea I think its probably due to the oral sex.  The virus that gives you epididymitis can stem from the back of a female's throat.  Its usually derived from chlymidia.  I had epididymitis but I did not get chlymidia, i do not know if its because I got on medication very early after noticing symptoms or not.  Talk to your doctor and good luck!

Well it seems to me that common sense would say...you're already going to the doctor. You've had unprotected sex with someone who has multiple partners a day...ummm...yeah might want to get tested...
