Need to kill someone- Bear with me.

by eoghan2001uk, Nov 14, 2007 09:24AM
Don't worry I'm not trying to kill anyone, but I'm writing a story and need a little medical grounding.

Situation:

13 Year old child reacts to a WASP sting in a hospital ward. He has Asthma, and has recently been treated for Apendictis. I tell you this only as a means to end.

It is key that this boy dies quickly, but I just want to know if the manner I have researched is even close to the truth. Here goes:

Boys stung and has severe reaction: throat swells fast.
Dr gives 2mg Dexamethasone while ordering a Tracheotomy.
Boy goes into Anaphylactic Shock (which I belive can be caused by the sting and in rare cases by the dexamethasone).
Unable to treat Anaphylaxis= kid dies.

Does this stand up to any reasonble medical scrutiny? Cheers for any help
