Spotting

For the last week I have been spotting.  I have been on the pill for 3 years now.  Is this a sign that I could be pregnant?

Sometimes during your menstrual cycle you’ll notice a little bit of blood on your panties or when you wipe. This is known as spotting and can be a sign of an infection, a cyst or a polyp in your vagina, cervix or uterus and should be investigated by a doctor. However, if you’ve been under a lot of pressure lately, you may have a bit spotting because of the extra stress.



Spotting is also a very common side effect during the first few months of using the birth control pill. If you’ve been using the Pill for a while, though, then you may notice some bleeding between periods when you’ve forgotten to take your pill or you took it a bit later than usual.

Forgot to ad if you are sexually active you may want to take a pregnancy test. What you’re seeing may actually be implantation bleeding and is an early sign of pregnancy.

Well I've been on the pill for awhile and haven't had any spotting in between periods...  I have been under some stress though.. my parents just told me they were getting a divorce...  So its been pretty hard on me.  But then again 2 days after they told me that I had sex... So it could be anything.... My spotting has been going on constantly for a week now.. I am starting to get extremely paranoid.... I am getting a test tonight and hopefully all will turn out well!

I have a 28 day cycle.  I was 2 days late.  My period lasted for 5 days.  I have been spotting on & off for the last few days.  Sometimes its very light pink & then a light brownish color.  I have nausea, mild cramping, headaches that i normally wouldn't have.  What could this mean?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
