Baby Name Dilema

by Amber426, Nov 16, 2007 03:03PM
My DH's grandmother just passed away in September.  We would really like to use her name but it is an older name that doesn't really suit us.  Her name is Irma Ethel.  I am looking for a creative way to use first or middle name.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Are there any names that you really like that you could use as a first name?

So this is strange but how about putting the two together and using Ema

Do an anagram.....combine both names and mix the letters up and see what name or names you come up with.

Example: Hailee, Mailee, or Lea Hermit. Lol

What about using her last name (or her maiden last name) as a middle name?

I like the idea about changing the letters around... maybe Amri Lee.. that sounds cute!!!

You could always give her 2 middle names one being your choice and the other being one of the grandmothers names. My daughter's name is Destinee Eva Alexis. She has two middle names. Eva is my grandmother who past away before I was born. I know that its hard to get older names to flow with newer names but all in all it is a great tribute to someone special.
