How long and in what kinds of environments outside human bodies, can virus causing pneumonia collect and endure before being acquired by a human nd causing pneumonia.?

Viral and bacterial organisms need moisture to survive, wet surfaces host these longer than dry ones.

   I had viral pneumonia also.  It put me in a coma and messed up my organs pretty good.  I could not type till a year after I had the disease.  Do you know how this disease I never of, could originate from.
