Breast implants

by lucky807, Nov 18, 2007 09:50PM
I had breast implants in 1987. I have over the past few years developed muscle stiffness joint pain and forgetfullness.last april I begain having pain in my lower extremities and muscular twitching. this twitching is now all over.I also have blurred vision.  I went to my MD who did blood work which was normal and he did nothing further, however I now feel inceasingly worse. I went to my OBGYN and she thinks one of my implants is leaking. could this be the cause of the pain and muscle spasms in my legs?

Hi,
Breat implants by itself would not cause pain or muscle spasms.Leaking from your implants is a separate issue and it should be dealt with by your cosmetic surgeon. For your muscle wekness, there could be other causes,It can be simply generalized weakness. If you are nearing menopause stage harmonal changes manifest in very many forms from person to person, especially,it has affected the legs ,some complain of cramps,or bone weakness.
Consult your GP and take calcium tablets it could help. Please consult your Opthalmologist to check for your 'Eye-power'.It would be good idea to meet an Otrhopaedician if you have pains in all your joints,he would be able to help you get relieved of your joint pains.
Goodluck
